I find that in the Lev 4s I do I land right ontop of the targets. I also dont feel that the extra range ot the drone links is worth it as its mean my drones have to travel more distance between targets, ergo they are not fighting. Never neded the extra range anyway, but then I have very high drone range these days so that may be the issue
Heres mine. Yes I'm cheap :D besides this should be good for those without uber skills and masses of cash to throw at it. you can easilly replace the named stuff with standard gear if you are starting off and it will still work fine.
3 250mm scouts, 3 heavy Nos 4 eutic cap rechargers, AB 1 LAR, 4 harderners that vary on mission type, and 2 1600 tungstens
This varies a bit. Sometimes I drop a NOS for a tractor and replace a 1600 with a second LAR, which generally means I drop the AB for another Cap charger. Sometimes I replace the railguns for 650mm or 720 artillary, which works fine and does not drain out cap for the tank.
Basicly NOS all round you to feed the guns and Repper. let your drones do their work and concentrate on the close range guys as they will be doing more damage. Its very much an in your face and personal setup which is why i like it. Works well on most Missions. Still working on a good long range setup for certain missions though so I will try one of the setups I have read here. If your drone range is not good then feel free to drop the tractor for a drone range module.

On serpentis missions I get resitances of 81% to ther and kin and 10000 armour with the above setup. Last quite a while too under heavy fire with a large vestment or a LAR II.
Just tried worlds collide and it was.. ok... but by biggest problem was freeses I got the first time I killed anything which ment my drones flew off into the wild blue wonder before I got control back, which ment I had 40 seconds where I was killing zip, then the drones would have to fly back and by the time I'd start killing things again my window to reduce the incoming fire had faded. This happened every single time I had to cancel the mission and I'm convinced its buggy as hell.
Anyway I would probably find it easier with sentries, but I can;t use them yet ('dont say how come you cant use them *sneer*, its because I guess I've had to makle some sacrifices to have BS 5, drone interfacing 5 and Heavy drone 5...) It probably is the best way to progect fire around an area with a domi, that frankly has a severe power shortage for guns and other equipment, that you will always have to make allowances for.

Edited by: Himo Amasacia on 13/09/2006 02:30:42 I'm told that Silence the Informant has gotten way harder in the last patch. In fact everyone is saying it. Also told the the second stage has a very specific order that the spawns agro and you need to know it if you are to progress. And no I dont know it yet.
I'd say kill the frigs asap as they have the scrammers. Then you can hop in and out to your heards content.
I'm liking the dual 1600 single LAR II setup more and more btw. Frees up a lot of power for other stuff and can withstand a absalute wagon of damage. Depending on your skills and type you are basicly getting the equivalent of 5 reps of an LAR at the baseline and without as much stress on your cap. Compleated Words Collide tonight with a corpmate and the amount of fire I absorbed without warpout was staggering. Might add a smartbomb for the pesky frigs as well.
